Weston Hall Wedding Staffordshire

Weston Hall Wedding Staffordshire

Towards the end of last month, on a very cold and icy Thursday between Christmas and New Year, I assisted and second photographed on a lovely winter Christmas themed Weston Hall Wedding, Staffordshire for Danielle Victoria Photography. Dani had recently given birth and in the lead up to the wedding and thought it would be beneficial for her to have an assistant and second photographer on hand to help her as the main wedding photographer.

Weston Hall in Stafford is a lovely venue with gorgeous scenery and very impressive on the drive up the driveway to the venue, and in their own words, “Located in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside, Weston Hall is a magnificent grade II* listed building surrounded by 20 acres of breathtaking scenery. The Hall retains many of its Elizabethan features including open stone fireplaces and oak beams in many of the rooms. Whether it’s for private, corporate or a wedding event the charming original features combined with custom-designed, elegant decor result in a truly magical event setting for you and your guests to enjoy.”

I met Dani at the venue and was asked to start by capturing the guests arriving and enjoying drinks in the bar area, before moving into the ceremony room. My first glimpse of the bride was as she walked in and she looked stunning! Her hair, make up and wedding dress were gorgeous. After the ceremony everyone was invited for more drinks before heading downstairs for the wedding breakfast.

Dani made the most of this time by capturing the group shots, and everyone bravely faced the cold for these! I helped organise and hold the wedding bouquet and people’s drinks. Dani then moved on to the couple adding portraits and asked me to get different angles while she posed and picked the locations for the shots. As a second photographer, I tend to stay to the side of these shots and get up close and focus on the bride or the groom. On this occasion I was able to get some beautiful portraits of the bride looking gorgeous and happy – and her red lips looked AMAZING!

After the group shots and couple portraits were all done we headed to the wedding breakfast room where it was decorated amazingly with a Christmas theme. Stags, a Christmas tree, baubles, reindeers, Christmas crackers and scratch cards as wedding favours.

This wedding ticked loads of boxes for me; gorgeous venue, loved up couple and happy guests!!! What more could you want?!

A massive thank you to Danielle for letting me work for her on this wedding. I hope you enjoy browsing the gallery of my photographs below – also edited by me.
