Training

Family Portrait Photography at Stowe National Trust

Relaxed outdoor Family Portrait Photography

Tomorrow I’ll be heading to the byLumiere HQ for family portrait photography training making my third month – WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE? – of training with Kate Hopewell Smith.

Last month we had speed light training and also headed out to the very beautifull National Trust park in Stowe and met with a gorgeous family, the McPherson’s for a family portrait photography training session. I spent a short period of time with them before I photographed a very loved up couple afterwards for a couple of hours. Kate and Brent were on hand for the entire time offering advice and guidance.

Photography Training with Kate Hopwell-Smith

I’ve been investing in myself again this year with not only photography training but also business mentoring. After looking at various (and there are lots!) companies which offer both, I decided to meet with Kate Hopewell-Smith. After an initial meeting and discussing my business and how Kate’s experience can help me, I decided this was the place for me.

Family Portrait Photography Training

The McPherson’s consisted of Mum and Dad and two lovely girls. And as you can see all the pictures are in front of this amazing blue door, which I fell in love with (as much as you can fall in love with a door!).

It’s the entrance to the tea rooms at Stowe but makes a brilliant place for photography. They had picked out lovely outfits for themselves, and importantly coordinated colours but still stayed true to themselves as a family.

I am super pleased with the results and I hope the family are too. All the images from the day taken and edited by me will be passed on to the family.

I would LOVE to capture gorgeous family portraits for you.

Looking for a authentic and relaxed local family photographer?

You can see more of my current family photography, here, and how I love to capture the authentic photos of you together as a family – blended with those classic posed portraits the Grandparents will love.

You can contact me about booking in a family photography session here. I travel across the UK.

How to build a wedding playlist your guests actually love Crafting the perfect wedding playlist is genuinely one of my favourite parts of wedding planning – because it changes the whole feel of the day. Having photographed hundreds of weddings, I can tell you this: the couples who look the most relaxed aren’t the ones with the “perfect” plan… they’re the ones who aren’t trying to do everything themselves. There are a few tiny jobs that make a massive difference to how smoothly your day runs – and they’re exactly […]
