Ginger Unzueta Photography Capturing Light Online Workshop

Ginger Unzueta Capturing Light Online Workshop

I love to keep learning and improving my photography. It’s how I feel I can stay fresh and keep my creativeness flowing and every time I pick up my camera I seem to learn something new.

I am inspired by a great deal of photographers across the world. I was introduced to Ginger Unzueta Photography by another newborn photographer who also attended the newborn baby posing Jillian Greenhill workshop. Ginger is based in the USA but runs online workshops throughout the year for anyone, anywhere. I was thrilled to be able to manage to book myself on an active seat for the most recent online workshop held on The Bloom Forum throughout September 2015. Over the last few weeks we have focused on capturing love and light and composition. After each assignment Ginger personally critics the images.

Ginger’s work is so inspiring to me; she captures her family everyday in the most amazing natural and effortless way and her images overflow with happiness and love.

I have now handed in my final assignment. Here it is…telling a story through images, can you guess what story my images tell?

“You did an amazing job with these. I can’t tell you how wonderful you did at capturing the story of a soccer day. You’ve inspired me to do this myself as all three of ours play soccer, yet often, I am so crazy going through field to field, I take few pictures. This makes me want to take a Saturday to do this. Seriously, so good. Great compositions, great details, perspectives, etc. I love you even included a portrait. Your colors and your focus is so awesome too. You nailed these.

It’s been so awesome seeing you grow and getting to know you. I hope we will get to stay in touch. xo”

Wow…over the moon with that personal message from Ginger. I loved capturing my niece, Eva Stanley, playing for her Shrewsbury team, coached by her Dad.

You can see more of my current family photography, here, and how I love to capture the authentic photos of you together as a family – blended with those classic posed portraits the Grandparents will love.

Post updated in August 2025. Eva Stanley is now signed to and plays for Shrewsbury Town Women FC.

How to build a wedding playlist your guests actually love Crafting the perfect wedding playlist is genuinely one of my favourite parts of wedding planning – because it changes the whole feel of the day. The right music makes the ceremony hit harder, keeps the drinks reception buzzy, and gets everyone (yes, even your uncle) […]

Having photographed hundreds of weddings, I can tell you this: the couples who look the most relaxed aren’t the ones with the “perfect” plan… they’re the ones who aren’t trying to do everything themselves. There are a few tiny jobs that make a massive difference to how smoothly your day runs – and they’re exactly […]
