Relaxed Shropshire Marquee Wedding
Our First Meeting
I first met Jess and Ryan on Jess’s family Shropshire farm last year when we chatted about her wedding over a cuppa and I showed her my wedding portfolio. I was really pleased when they booked me as their wedding photographer for their relaxed Shropshire marquee wedding. Later that year I met with the couple again for their engagement photo session and I was surprised to see Jess was pregnant! So the engagement photo session also turned into a bit of a pregnancy shoot.
Forward six months and it was time for the relaxed Shropshire marquee wedding. The sun shone and Jess’s Grandparents house was the ideal venue for her and the bridal party to get ready. The views from the windows were gorgeous! The wedding bouquet, bridesmaids wedding flowers and button holes were made my her Aunt – such a clever lady! I was so welcomed by the family and offered tea and food (never one to complain about food) throughout the day. The couple’s little boy had the most charming little outfit and matching red booties – check out the gallery below to see. Bridal prep was very chilled and I captured the moment Jess opened a gift from her husband to be. Tears were shed!
The wedding marquee itself was stunning and bright, and I ADORED the animal themed table plan and white paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling of the marque. Such a cute idea. The ceremony was held in a church down the road from the farm and it was packed with family and friends. Back at the farm marquee we headed straight into couple portraits using the gorgeous farm building and Shropshire countryside surrounding us, and then I let the bride and groom relax and party. I managed to capture lots of great happy candids of the guests, even caught the father of the bride downing shots.
Speeches are always a favourite as a wedding photographer as you’re highly likely to capture laughter and tears. Great combo! The groom was presented with a signed photo from his favourite rugby player, Jonny Wilkinson!
Enjoy the gallery below, and see if you can spot one of favourite images to date when Jess’s Aunt got an unexpected first look of the bride!
When I first met Jess way back in 2016 I didn’t have much of a portfolio but we had a chat over a cuppa, I told Jess all about my training plans and showed her what I had in stall for the year ahead and Jess booked me. I am so glad she believed in me and I absolutely loved her wedding day.
