Elegant, Authentic Wedding Photography at one of Shropshire’s Most Romantic Venues
Hawkstone Hall is a stunner – an 18th-century mansion set in 88 acres of Shropshire countryside. With its grand interiors, sweeping gardens, and serene chapel, it’s a dream venue for couples wanting a luxury wedding that still feels warm, relaxed, and deeply personal. As a Hawkstone Hall wedding photographer who blends timeless portraiture with emotional candids, I love working at this beautiful wedding venue.
I’ve had the joy of photographing many beautiful weddings here, each one full of unforgettable moments and romantic backdrops. Whether you’re planning an outdoor celebration or a candlelit chapel ceremony, Shropshire’s Hawkstone Hall offers endless inspiration.

Why I Adore Photographing Weddings at Hawkstone Hall
My connection to Hawkstone Hall began before I even worked here. For our birthdays in July 2020, my mum and I treated ourselves to an afternoon tea in The Saloon and spent time exploring the gardens. We were lucky enough to be offered a private tour and I remember being completely enchanted by the natural light, elegant architecture, and peaceful surroundings.
Since then, I’ve returned as a wedding photographer to Hawkstone Hall, and every visit reminds me why it’s such a special place to host your wedding day.
The Grounds: Romantic and Full of Possibility
While the gardens are expansive, they’re also full of charming, tucked-away corners. Perfect for intimate, relaxed portraits. Whether you’re wandering hand-in-hand past the statues, stealing a kiss beneath the trees, or soaking in golden hour light, the setting creates magic.
As someone who’s always on the lookout for quiet moments, I love using these little hideaways to photograph connection in a way that feels totally you.
The Interiors: Light-Filled and Cinematic
One of my favourite things about Hawkstone Hall? The floor-to-ceiling windows. Natural light pours into almost every room, creating soft, romantic backdrops for portraits, ceremonies, and candid moments with your guests.
Even on rainy days, there’s no shortage of beautiful spaces to photograph indoors – perfect for couples who want a stress-free experience no matter the weather.
The Ceremony: Saying “I Do” in the Chapel
The Chapel at Hawkstone Hall is one of the most impressive ceremony spaces in Shropshire. With high ceilings, intricate detailing, and an almost regal atmosphere, it’s made for unforgettable vows. I always make sure to capture both the big venue scenes, small details and the quiet glances that tell the story of your wedding.
Real Weddings at Hawkstone Hall
I’ve photographed weddings here, and each one has its own unique flavour – from garden cocktail hours to floating balloons on the dance floor.
Here’s what Claire and Greg had to say:
“It’s so true that the day goes by in such a whirlwind to the point where your photos have reminded me of times during the day that I had completely forgotten and not just that, I can’t even remember you captioning the moment! You are a genius!”

Real Weddings, not Styled Shoots
If you’d like to see how a full celebration comes together, head to Real Weddings. Every photograph across my website was taken at a real wedding. On the rare occasion I share a styled shoot, I’ll say so. Styled shoots set the scene; weddings unfold, so expectations (and timings) are vastly different. If you can both picture yourselves within my work, get in touch.
