Iscoyd Park Wedding Photographer

Iscoyd Park wedding venue exterior with red-brick house, ivy-covered walls and columned entrance

If it rains on your wedding day at Iscoyd Park, you genuinely won’t mind.

I know that sounds like a bold claim. But having photographed four weddings here – including one where it rained from start to finish – I can tell you with confidence that Iscoyd Park has enough beautiful indoor spaces that the weather becomes almost irrelevant. Different rooms, different light, different moods. The day still flows. The photos still look incredible.

I’m Laura, hi!, a Shropshire wedding photographer specialising in romantic, fine-art documentary photography. I’ve photographed more weddings at Iscoyd Park than any other venue outside of Davenport House, and I’m already booked here again. It’s a venue I genuinely look forward to returning to.

What makes Iscoyd Park different

A few things stand out after four weddings here.

The staff are exceptional. Attentive without hovering, brilliant at keeping the timeline on track without the day ever feeling rushed or managed. As a photographer, working with a well-run venue makes a genuine difference – when the day flows properly, the photos reflect that. Iscoyd’s team are some of the best I’ve worked alongside.

The spaces have real variety and intentional personality. Some rooms are beautifully designed – rich, characterful, full of detail. Others, like the ceremony room, are deliberately kept white and minimal so couples can make them entirely their own. It means no two Iscoyd weddings ever look the same, which I love.

And it’s exclusive use. When you book Iscoyd Park, the whole house and grounds are yours. No other wedding, no strangers wandering through your day. Just you and your people.

The ceremony spaces

The Garden Room is light-filled and calm – arched windows, a neutral backdrop, and the kind of space that works with everything from minimal styling to the boldest florals without ever feeling overdone. It’s bright, comfortable, and flows naturally into the rest of the day.

If you’d prefer an outdoor ceremony, the gardens give you that open-air feeling without losing intimacy. From a photography perspective, it’s brilliant for capturing the wider atmosphere – guests arriving, reactions during the vows, those just-married moments immediately afterwards – without anyone feeling like they’re on display.

Getting ready at Iscoyd

Both sides of the wedding party can get ready on site – light-filled suites in the main house, plus a private cottage just off the main building. It keeps the morning calm and contained, and it means I can move quietly between the two without anyone feeling rushed.

That’s when a lot of the real emotion happens – the nerves, the laughter, the quiet pauses with your favourite people. I photograph it as it unfolds, low-key and in the background.

The grounds

The grounds at Iscoyd give you genuine variety for portraits – gardens for a relaxed wander, open lawn for that just-married energy, soft evening light when the day starts to slow down. Everything feels easy and photogenic without having to overthink it or disappear for too long.

What Laura & James said:

“Laura is a really approachable and warm person so it was lovely to have her with us on our wedding day, not only as a photographer but as a friend. Throughout the day Laura was brilliant at capturing all the important moments without being at all intrusive. So many of our guests have commented on how hardworking, organised and friendly Laura was.” – Laura & James, Iscoyd Park Wedding

Couples who get married at Hackney Town Hall usually have a reason. Not just “it’s a nice registry office.” Something more personal than that. The creative couple who’ve built their lives in East London and couldn’t imagine anywhere else. The pair who fell in love in Hackney, moved away, and came back to get married […]

Some couples want a venue that photographs beautifully. Wilde Lodge couples want a venue where everyone stays for the weekend. Wilde Lodge sits above the River Teme, perched in 15 to 25 acres of unspoilt countryside on the border of Powys, Shropshire and Herefordshire. It’s a beautiful country house, but the soul of it is […]

How to build a wedding playlist your guests actually love I’ve photographed weddings since 2016. I’ve watched a lot of first dances. I’ve seen ceremony music make entire rooms cry, and drinks receptions fall flat because the music was wrong for the moment. Music shapes how your wedding day feels – not just sounds. Get […]
