There’s something about getting married on a main road in central London that feels completely, deliberately intentional.
No rolling countryside, no sweeping driveway. Just an imposing Georgian building with iconic steps and columns, right in the heart of Marylebone – and the quiet knowledge that you’re standing somewhere that has witnessed thousands of weddings before yours and will witness thousands more.
I’m Laura, hi!, a wedding photographer based in Shropshire, photographing celebrations across the UK including London small weddings. I’ve photographed at Marylebone Town Hall as lead photographer, and it remains one of my favourite places to document a wedding ceremony – organised, warm, and genuinely beautiful inside.

What makes Marylebone Town Hall special
The building is stunning – proper Georgian architecture, incredible interiors, ceremony rooms that feel ceremonial in the best possible way. The famous steps outside are one of those photography spots that work every single time, regardless of weather or styling, because the building itself is the backdrop.
Couples who choose Marylebone tend to be London-based, stylish, and intentional about keeping things small. They’ve chosen to get married this way because they want it – not because they’re compromising on something bigger. That distinction matters, and it shows in the photographs.
The staff are organised and friendly, which makes a genuine difference on the day. Everything runs smoothly, the ceremony feels personal despite being in a civic building, and there’s none of the logistical anxiety that can come with larger venue weddings.

After the ceremony
The beauty of a Marylebone Town Hall wedding is the freedom it gives you afterwards. The ceremony is the anchor – everything else is yours to design. I’ve photographed couples heading to a relaxed pub lunch with their closest people, and others stepping straight into one of London’s finest hotel receptions. Both felt completely right for the couple in question.
That flexibility is part of what makes small London weddings so appealing – and so personal.
