Hedsor House Wedding Photographer

Some couples find me through Google. Nayen and Urvi found me because they’d been guests at a wedding I photographed at Davenport House – and when it came to their own wedding at Hedsor House, they knew exactly who they wanted.

That’s the kind of thing that doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when a couple spends a day watching you work and thinks: that’s the person we want in the room when it matters.

I’m Laura, hi!, a wedding photographer based in Shropshire, photographing celebrations across the UK with a romantic, fine-art documentary approach. I’ve photographed at Hedsor House as lead photographer, and it’s a venue that stays with you – grand, elegant, and completely its own thing.

What makes Hedsor House special

Hedsor House is for couples who want the countryside without sacrificing sophistication. It draws a particular kind of person – city couples, often London-based, who want to escape into something genuinely beautiful for the weekend without the day feeling rustic or informal. Timeless is the word that comes to mind every time.

The centrepiece of the venue is a stunning open indoor space – part of the house itself, with a surrounding balcony that makes it unlike any ceremony or reception space I’ve photographed elsewhere. It has the grandeur of a Georgian country house but with an atmosphere that feels genuinely warm rather than imposing. When it’s dressed for a wedding it’s extraordinary.

The bridal suite is one of the most beautiful getting-ready spaces in my portfolio — light-filled, spacious, and calm. The kind of room where the morning unfolds naturally and the photographs take care of themselves.

The setting

Hedsor House sits in Buckinghamshire near Taplow – close enough to London to feel accessible, far enough away to feel like a proper escape. The grounds are beautiful and well-suited to portraits, with the house itself providing a striking backdrop from multiple angles.

It’s the kind of venue where the surroundings do a lot of the work – which means less time orchestrating and more time just being present together.

Couples who get married at Hackney Town Hall usually have a reason. Not just “it’s a nice registry office.” Something more personal than that. The creative couple who’ve built their lives in East London and couldn’t imagine anywhere else. The pair who fell in love in Hackney, moved away, and came back to get married […]

Some couples want a venue that photographs beautifully. Wilde Lodge couples want a venue where everyone stays for the weekend. Wilde Lodge sits above the River Teme, perched in 15 to 25 acres of unspoilt countryside on the border of Powys, Shropshire and Herefordshire. It’s a beautiful country house, but the soul of it is […]

How to build a wedding playlist your guests actually love I’ve photographed weddings since 2016. I’ve watched a lot of first dances. I’ve seen ceremony music make entire rooms cry, and drinks receptions fall flat because the music was wrong for the moment. Music shapes how your wedding day feels – not just sounds. Get […]
